 Introduction
of Fountain |
| A private English language training school, Fountain
was established in 1998.Since then it has built
up an excellent reputation with individual learners
and companies. We currently have eleven full-time
teachers from the USA, Canada, U.K., New Zealand
and Australia. A bilingual Chinese teacher teaches
most pre-beginner adult language classes. Fountain
School teachers are all well-trained, professional,
native English speakers. Teaching quality is a high
priority and is regularly monitored and evaluated.
All students are asked to participate in evaluations
of their courses and of the school itself. |
| The school offers a systematic approach to the
study of English, principally for conversation and
business purposes. Our classes are student-centered,
highly interactive and results-oriented. |
| We offer a variety of English language training
including: Children and Adult Conversation classes,
Business English (BEC), Business Writing and Company
classes. In addition, Fountain School is authorized
to administer the BEC examination in Zhuhai. That
part of our business involving employee training
on site-company classes is growing fast, as more
and more Chinese companies appreciate the need for
English, since China's acceptance into the WTO,
and in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics. |
| Fountain School's facilities occupy more than
1,000 square meters which includes 10 spacious classrooms,
a lounge and office areas. The school itself has
a bright, fresh, modern atmosphere, attractive dcor,
high-tech classrooms complete with stereo, video,
and air conditioning. |

| Conversational English:
|
| Fountain School offers eight graduated levels
of instruction. All students are individually interviewed
and are then assigned to an appropriate class level.
Native English speakers teach level Two through
Eight. These levels gradually build up the students'
English ability and, perhaps more importantly, their
confidence in speaking English. Textbooks are used
and ample time is also provided for structured and/or
free conversation to enable the students to perfect
their speaking and listening skills. |
| Business English: |
| The Cambridge University Business English Certificate
Classes (BEC) offered by Fountain School are intended
for higher-level English students who wish to improve
their understanding of business English. There are
three levels: BEC1,BEC2 and BEC3. Completion of
these levels entitles the graduate to a widely recognized
Certificate, which may be helpful in obtaining employment
promotion or admission to certain academic programs.
The BEC courses are extremely well received by students
at Fountain School. |
| Business Writing: |
| There are currently two levels associated with
Fountain's recently launched Business Writing program.
Students must pass a mandatory entrance test and
interview prior to joining a writing class. The
program, at both levels, covers a full spectrum
of writing skills including grammar, sentence structures,
business letters, e-Mails and Report writing. Regular
homework assignments are an integral and important
part of both courses. The classes are supplemented
with exercises, role-plays and appropriate activities
to acquaint students with modern business practices
and to encourage some speaking. Additional reading
is encouraged and students are asked to maintain
a daily journal to promote their creative writing
skills. |

| Children's
Classes |
| Children's classes are popular at Fountain and
more and more parents are entrusting our school
with their children's English language instruction,
due both to the effective teaching methods as well
as the fresh and bright atmosphere of the school's
environs. |
| These classes are held only on Saturday and Sunday
in the daytime, twice per week for 50 minutes each
class. We provide a range of classes for kindergartener(4
to 7 years old), children(7 to 12 years old) and
youth(13 to 17 years old). students are interviewed
before being assigned to a level.Different texts
are used for each level, and teachers also supplement
each class with fun activities, such as singing,
craftwork and game playing. |

| Company
service |
| In addition to on-site classes Fountain School
also delivers classes to local and joint-venture
companies in and around Zhuhai. These classes are
designed to provide quality English language instruction
to management and staff members of these companies. |
